WARD VILLAGE® CELEBRATES OPENING OF THE PARK WARD VILLAGE®
Community’s ninth residence delivers 546 new homes, 30,000+ square feet of integrated retail and dining, and an enhanced connection to Victoria Ward Park
HONOLULU (June 1, 2026) – Ward Village, the award-winning 60-acre master planned community in Honolulu, today announced the opening of The Park Ward Village, its ninth residential development. Adjacent to the newly completed 3.5-acre Victoria Ward Park, The Park Ward Village offers expansive park and ocean views and introduces 546 new studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes as well as more than 30,000 square feet of new retail and dining, further strengthening Ward Village’s diverse mix of shopping, dining, and public open space within a walkable urban neighborhood. The residence was 97% pre-sold at completion, underscoring strong demand for thoughtfully designed homes in Ward Village.
“The Park Ward Village represents an important milestone in Ward Village’s master plan, introducing homes and gathering spaces with views to the ocean in the heart of the neighborhood,” said Doug Johnstone, President of the Hawai‘i Region & National Condominium Development for Howard Hughes Communities. “Its setting alongside Victoria Ward Park, as well as the refined island aesthetic design that has become synonymous with Ward Village, has been central to its success, and we look forward to welcoming residents to their new homes.”

Drawing inspiration from Hawai‘i’s mid-century architectural heritage, The Park Ward Village was designed by award-winning architecture firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz, with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg, and landscape architecture by VITA Planning and Landscape Architecture. Indoor-outdoor living is seamlessly delivered with abundant natural light and views of the ocean, park, and Honolulu skyline. An expansive amenity deck features resort-style and lap pools, pickleball and tennis courts, barbecue cabanas, landscaped lawns, and spa amenities, extending outdoor living while supporting recreation, wellness, and social connection.
The completion of The Park Ward Village also brings meaningful public-realm improvements, including expanded sidewalks, enhanced pedestrian pathways, and bicycle connections that promote walkability and a seamless multimodal experience throughout the community.

In February, Ward Village completed the mauka expansion of Victoria Ward Park, which, together with the makai portion that opened in 2025, provides a continuous green corridor nearly a football field in length. As the cornerstone of the community’s eight acres of connected parks, Victoria Ward Park offers uninterrupted mauka-to-makai viewplanes and public art installations by Hawaiʻi-based artists that reflect the area’s history. It is also the community’s first SITES-certified park, with native plantings that reduce irrigation needs, promote biodiversity, and help mitigate urban heat, supporting Ward Village’s broader environmental stewardship efforts as part of Hawai‘i’s only LEED-ND Platinum-certified master planned community.
Earlier this month, Ward Village announced new restaurants opening within The Park Ward Village’s ground-floor commercial space, including Rigo’s second O‘ahu location and the new health food concept ‘Āina Bowls, adding neighborhood-serving dining alongside Victoria Ward Park.
Continuing its tradition of commemorating major milestones through charitable giving, Ward Village donated $120,000 to four Hawai‘i nonprofits advancing initiatives tied to housing, disaster relief, workforce training, and sustainability. Recipients include Residential Youth Services & Empowerment (RYSE) in support of its Beretania Street capital project, Aloha for Hawaii for Kona low flood recovery assistance, the University of Hawai’i's Honolulu Community College Construction & Trades programs to provide tool kits and educational resources for students, and Re-Use Hawaii for sustainability-focused reuse efforts serving Kaka‘ako and Ward Village.
“We’re grateful for Ward Village’s support of our future Beretania Street project and the role this investment will play in helping us expand long-term housing and support services for Hawai‘i’s youth and young adults,” said Carla Houser, Executive Director of RYSE. “Projects like this help create stronger pathways toward stability and independence by connecting young people with the resources, relationships and support systems they need to move forward. We deeply appreciate this gift and the role it will play in building a stronger future for Hawai‘i.”
