WARD VILLAGE® WELCOMES SHOP KEIKO TO SOUTH SHORE MARKET
Minimalist, handcrafted jewelry coming soon to premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination

HONOLULU – Ward Village, a one-of-a-kind destination to live, shop, dine, and explore, is welcoming local business – Shop Keiko – to its master planned community. Featuring minimalist, handcrafted jewelry designs, South Shore Market will be Shop Keiko’s first brick-and-mortar location. In celebration of the grand opening on Saturday, May 28, Shop Keiko will offer 15% off all jewelry all weekend, and the first 50 customers will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a $100, $50, or $25 gift card.
Driven by a mission of effortless and authentic beauty, Shop Keiko will offer a robust collection of handcrafted jewelry, clothing, and accessories, including necklaces, swimwear, and bags, for everyday wear.

“Our community of tenants is full of entrepreneurs and local business owners pursuing their passions,” said Jeff Chen, Senior General Manager of Ward Village. “The opportunity we have to help them achieve their goals and, for many, bring their offerings directly to consumers is truly humbling.”
Melding her love of designing jewelry and diving for shells along Oʻahu’s shores, local designer, owner and maker Kristi Hayashida began her business by creating ocean-inspired jewelry using shells and sea glass for years. Since then, she has evolved her brand by creating minimalistic, everyday pieces, while still incorporating pearls, sea glass and gemstones into her lines. Keiko Jewelry first opened for business online in May 2020, and its exponential growth allowed her to pursue the venture full-time in 2021. Her shop in Ward Village will be open to customers from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

“Finding a supportive and thriving atmosphere is critically important for small local businesses,” said Hayashida. “Opening a storefront in Ward Village will provide my business with more growth opportunities than I could have imagined and the ability to connect with customers in person."

About Ward Village®
Ward Village is a 60-acre master-planned community by The Howard Hughes Corporation® in the heart of Honolulu, located between downtown and Waikīkī. Honoring the distinct history of its land, Ward Village is at the forefront of sustainable community development – integrating striking architecture, culture and arts, and public open space. At full build-out, the community will include approximately one million square feet of unique retail and thousands of homes, in what Architectural Digest named “Best Planned Community in the United States.”
As a result of strong demand for new housing in urban Honolulu, Ward Village is quickly approaching sellout of its first five mixed-use residential towers — Waiea®, Anaha®, Ae‘o®, Ke Kilohana®, and ʻAʻaliʻi® — transforming the popular shopping and dining district into a thriving urban neighborhood that offers ocean views and open space, including its newest outdoor gathering place, Victoria Ward Park. New residential buildings in development or under construction include Kō‘ula and Victoria Place. Since launching public sales in July 2021, The Park Ward Village has become the fastest-selling market tower in the history of Ward Village. Approved by the Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority (HCDA) in 2021, The Park Ward Village and Ulana Ward Village will be the newest mixed-use developments to join the neighborhood.
As a LEED-ND Platinum-certified master planned community, Ward Village demonstrates its commitment to responsible, mixed use development by investing in public benefits and amenities for Honolulu’s urban community. For more information, visit www.wardvillage.com.
