HONOLULU – Ward Village®, a one-of-a-kind destination in the heart of Honolulu to live, shop, dine and explore, is adding five restaurants, two new cafés and a spa to its growing community in 2023. Straits, Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Twoppul, Nori Bar, Sprouted by La Tour Café, WildKind Café + Juicery, PESO and Okayama Kobo Bakery will open later this year.
“Ward Village has always been known as the place to find a vibrant mix of restaurants, retailers and experiences,” said Jeff Chen, Senior General Manager of Ward Village®. “We look forward to introducing brands that are new to Hawai‘i and original concepts from local businesses to our community.”
Ward Village’s newest tenants are:
Straits (Ward Entertainment Center)
Straights, a new-to-Hawai‘i restaurant and bar concept, takes its influence from the culinary melting pot of Singapore and presents the flavors of Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and Nonya cuisine. With Chef Chris Yeo at the helm, patrons can expect fresh seafood, chicken dishes, noodles, soups, and craft cocktails in a casual and trendy atmosphere.
Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa (Kō‘ula on Auahi Street)
Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa will open its first-ever location on Oʻahu in Kō‘ula. Launched by a physical therapist in 2004, Hand and Stone is a national franchise specializing in massages, facials, spa services and non-surgical body treatments.
Twoppul (second floor of Kō‘ula on Halekauwila Street)
Twoppul is a refined Korean steakhouse modeled after its sister restaurants in Korea. The menu includes flavorful stews, noodles, soups and high-quality proteins, which will be available during lunch and dinner. The famous Korean BBQ restaurant will have flame grills at the center of each table for guests to cook and enjoy their food in an intimate setting. Twoppul at Ward Village will be the restaurant’s first location in Hawai‘i.
Nori Bar (ground floor of Kō‘ula on Halekauwila Street)
Nori Bar is a new dining experience by the owners of Paradise Poke. Guests will sit at a 16-seat counter and watch a sushi chef who will make each hand roll to order. Nori Bar will also offer poke, a wide selection of sake and other cocktails.
Planted by La tour Café (ʻAʻaliʻi on Halekauwila Street)
Sprouted by La Tour Café will open its second location at ‘A‘ali‘i and offer vegetarian and vegan options of the local cafe’s signature sandwiches, soups, salads and baked goods, including their famous macarons and kouign aman.
WildKind Café + Juicery (Ward Entertainment Center)
WildKind Café + Juicery is a total wellness company catering to the mind, body and soul. Customers will enjoy juice, smoothies and plant-based bowls at the café and juicery’s first brick-and-mortar location. They can also join their online community to access one-on-one coaching and wellness challenges.
PESO (Ward Centre)
PESO, a neighborhood restaurant and lumpia bar, specializes in modern Filipino American cuisine, natural wine, craft cocktails, beer and baked goods. The award-winning concept features thoughtful ingredients and flavors from experienced chef Ria Dolly Barbosa. PESO will replace Piggy Smalls, who, after experiencing staffing limitations as a result of the pandemic, consolidated locations to focus on its original concept, The Pig and The Lady.
Okayama Kobo Bakery and Café (Ward Entertainment Center)
Okayama Kobo Bakery and Café is opening its first Hawaiʻi location at Ward Village, offering freshly prepared, high-quality bread and pastries. Using flour imported straight from Hokkaido, Japan, and additive- and preservative-free dough, Okayama Kobo Bakery and Café provides fast and crave-worthy meals without compromising quality or service.

Since launching public sales in July 2021, The Park Ward Village has become the fastest-selling market tower in the history of Ward Village. Approved by the Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority (HCDA) in 2021, The Park Ward Village and Ulana Ward Village will be the newest mixed-use developments to join the neighborhood.
