Authentic Jewish bagel bakery and café brings a taste of New York to Honolulu

HONOLULU – Ward Village®, the award-winning destination in the heart of Honolulu to live, shop, dine and explore, will welcome Tali’s Bagels and Schmear, an authentic Jewish bagel bakery and café, to its diverse culinary scene. Founded with a vision to share Jewish comfort food with Hawaiʻi, the community can enjoy the unique taste of New York-style bagels and bialys made with traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients. The new eatery will open on July 1 in Ward Centre.

As the only Jewish bagel business on Oʻahu – and the only establishment offering bialys – Tali’s Bagels is dedicated to preserving the authenticity and tradition of Jewish cuisine. All bagels are hand-rolled, boiled in small batches and baked on cedar planks. Committed to providing fresh, high-quality breakfast and lunch options, Tali’s Bagels sources ingredients from Hawaiʻi’s local small businesses, farms and fishers. To date, the bakery has partnerships with more than a dozen local businesses as a commitment to keeping the customer’s dollar in the local community.

Customers will enjoy a large selection of menu items, including the shop’s popular bagel flight, featuring three mini bagels and three schmears of the customer’s choice, including vegan options. Those looking for a creative twist on a local favorite can indulge in an everything bagel with lomi lox schmear. The Ward Village location will also exclusively serve hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches and sliced lox and will offer coffee slushies and made-to-order fizzy drinks.

To celebrate the store’s soft opening from June 28 through June 30, Tali’s Bagels will offer an 18% discount on all orders, as the number 18 symbolizes life and good luck in Jewish culture. The bakery and café will be open Wednesday through Monday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
