PESO BRINGS BOLD FILIPINO CUISINE TO WARD VILLAGE®

HONOLULU – Ward Village^®, the award-winning destination in the heart of Honolulu to live, shop, dine and explore, will offer a unique take on Filipino American cuisine with the soft opening of PESO on Friday, May 26. Located in the former Piggy Smalls location at Ward Centre, the new restaurant features bold flavors and exciting menu offerings from Executive Chef Ria Dolly Barbosa.

“PESO adds another incredible culinary offering to our neighborhood and Honolulu’s dining scene,” said Taylor Herring, General Manager of Ward Village. “We’re excited to add Filipino cuisine to the diverse dining options offered in Ward Village with PESO’s fresh menu and atmosphere.”

The neighborhood restaurant and lumpia bar will pay homage to Filipino American cuisine, offering specialty pastries, local fruits, ube and silog bowls for brunch and Pinoymakase™, a take on Japanese Omakase, which will allow patrons to enjoy a multi-course Filipino meal and curated wine and beverage pairing of the chef’s choosing. Patrons will also enjoy a robust wine, specialty cocktail and beer selection. All who attend PESO’s soft opening and sign up for text and email updates will receive a special gift.

Nominated by Eater LA for “Best Chef of Los Angeles” in 2018, Barbosa brings years of culinary experience to PESO. She also leads the award-winning concept Petite Peso, which has locations in Los Angeles and a new restaurant opening in Las Vegas this year.
