LOCAL RESTAURATEURS OPEN PIZZA DADI IN WARD VILLAGE®
The team behind Mad Bene, DB Grill and soon-to-open Cino is dishing out New York-style pizza at Ward Centre, starting July 23

HONOLULU – Ward Village®, a one-of-a-kind destination to live, shop, dine and explore, will welcome Pizza Dadi, a New York-inspired pizzeria, to the neighborhood. Set to open on Saturday, July 23 at 11:30 a.m., Pizza Dadi is the fifth concept by DB Restaurant Group, founded by Henry Yoon and Jin Hong of Duck Butt, DB Grill, Mad Bene and another new concept, Cino, which is set to open in Ward Village in the fall. The new pizzeria will be located inside Ward Centre in the former Goma Tei space.

“Yoon and Hong’s fast-growing restaurant empire is exciting to support,” said Jeff Chen, Senior General Manager of Ward Village. “With Cino, which is coming soon to ‘A‘ali‘i, and Pizza Dadi opening at Ward Centre, we look forward to giving residents and visitors even more reasons to explore the expansive array of dining options to choose from at Ward Village.”
At the center of Pizza Dadi’s menu will be an array of foldable yet crispy, New York-style pizzas that will be freshly made and hand-tossed in-house. Rounding out the menu will be Pizza Dadi’s take on classic pizzeria sides, which includes salads, buffalo wings, and eggplant parmesan sticks.
“The interest in opportunities to join or expand within the neighborhood has been tremendous,” added Chen. “We've recently welcomed several new restaurants and retailers to Ward Village, most of which are local businesses, and it's a joy to cultivate unique shopping and dining experiences throughout our community.”
Pizza Dadi is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Ward Centre. The pizzeria is the latest in a string of new retail and restaurant openings at Ward Village, including Sugarlina Bakeshop, Taqueria El Gallo Rosa, Shop Keiko and Holey Grail. About Ward Village®
Ward Village is a 60-acre master-planned community by The Howard Hughes Corporation® in the heart of Honolulu, located between downtown and Waikīkī. Honoring the distinct history of its land, Ward Village is at the forefront of sustainable community development – integrating striking architecture, culture and arts, and public open space. At full build-out, the community will include approximately one million square feet of unique retail and thousands of homes, in what Architectural Digest named “Best Planned Community in the United States.”
As a result of strong demand for new housing in urban Honolulu, Ward Village is quickly approaching sellout of its first five mixed-use residential towers — Waiea®, Anaha®, Ae‘o®, Ke Kilohana®, and ʻAʻaliʻi® — transforming the popular shopping and dining district into a thriving urban neighborhood that offers ocean views and open space, including its newest outdoor gathering place, Victoria Ward Park. New residential buildings in development or under construction include Kō‘ula and Victoria Place. Since launching public sales in July 2021, The Park Ward Village has become the fastest-selling market tower in the history of Ward Village. Approved by the Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority (HCDA) in 2021, The Park Ward Village and Ulana Ward Village will be the newest mixed-use developments to join the neighborhood.
As a LEED-ND Platinum-certified master planned community, Ward Village demonstrates its commitment to responsible, mixed use development by investing in public benefits and amenities for Honolulu’s urban community. For more information, visit www.wardvillage.com.
