HOUSE OF MANA UP OPENS AT WARD VILLAGE®
Mana Up encourages local entrepreneurship across Oahu, opening its newest location at South Shore Market with unique products from nearly 95 local companies

HONOLULU (July 8, 2024) – Ward Village®, the award-winning destination in the heart of Honolulu to live, shop, dine and explore, welcomes House of Mana Up at South Shore Market. A retail experience that highlights the unique stories of Hawai‘i’s rising entrepreneurs and the premium brands they’ve built, House of Mana Up offers a variety of locally crafted products and gifts, food, fashion, home, beauty, and art products. The local businesses behind these featured products have participated in the Mana Up accelerator program designed to help them scale to global markets.

“House of Mana Up celebrates local makers and artisans while creating jobs and supporting our economy,” said Taylor Herring, General Manager of Ward Village. “Small businesses are the heart of our neighborhood, and we look forward to continuing to be a space for entrepreneurs to grow.”
The 1,292-square-foot space serves as a platform for local artisans, designers, and makers to showcase their goods, celebrating Hawai‘i’s creativity and craftsmanship. Shoppers can look forward to regular monthly events and workshops hosted by the entrepreneurs and explore a more curated selection of local products.
The product offerings will include island-inspired NOHO Home bedding and home decor, stylish ava + oliver baby products, Kākou Collective stationery, fragrances by Jules + Gem Hawai‘i, fashion by David Shepard Hawai‘i and Lexbreezy, as well as best-selling food products from Ubae, Maui Chili Chili Oil, HI Spice and Kahuku Farms. Additionally, Averylily will prominently introduce its collection of high-quality bedding, bath, and decor that celebrates the beauty of Hawaiʻi—with a first-of-its-kind shopping experience for the brand.

“We're thrilled to bring House of Mana Up to Ward Village, in a neighborhood where we can connect locals with unique products and gifts from 100% Hawai‘i-based businesses,” said Meli James, co-founder of Mana Up. “Creating more sales channels for these companies aligns perfectly with our mission to help Hawai‘i’s entrepreneurs grow and scale, contributing to the state's economy and creating local jobs.”
House of Mana Up first opened its doors in Waikiki in January 2020 and has since become a go-to destination for Hawai‘i products and gifts. In four years, the retailer has expanded to five locations across O‘ahu and Hawai‘i Island. House of Mana Up offers a wide range of items from a vast majority of the companies that have completed the Mana Up accelerator program, which is designed to help Hawaii-based companies grow and scale globally and has seen 95 participants to date.
House of Mana Up will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, please visit www.wardvillage.com or www.houseofmanaup.com.
About Ward Village®
Ward Village is a 60-acre master planned community in the heart of Honolulu, located between downtown and Waikīkī. Honoring the distinct history of its land, Ward Village is at the forefront of sustainable community development—integrating striking architecture, culture and arts, and public open space. At full buildout, the community will include thousands of homes and approximately one million square feet of unique retail in what Architectural Digest named “Best Planned Community in the United States.” As a result of strong demand for new housing in urban Honolulu, Ward Village quickly sold out its first seven mixed-use residential towers—Waiea®, Anaha®, Ae‘o, Ke Kilohana®, ʻAʻaliʻi®, Kō‘ula®, and Victoria Place®—transforming the popular shopping and dining district into a thriving mixed-use neighborhood that offers ocean views and open space, including its newest outdoor gathering place, Victoria Ward Park. New residential buildings in development or under construction include Victoria Place, Ulana Ward Village®, The Park Ward Village®, and Kalae. Most recently approved by the Hawai‘i Community Development Authority (HCDA), The Launiu Ward Village will be the latest mixed-use development that will join the neighborhood.
Ward Village, a LEED-ND Platinum-certified master planned community part of the Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. portfolio, demonstrates its commitment to responsible, mixed-use development by investing in public benefits and amenities for Honolulu’s urban community.
