CRITICAL COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCES PROVIDED AT WARD VILLAGE®
In partnership with COVID Pau and Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, Ward Village hosted a pop-up vaccination clinic for community members

HONOLULU – Today, Ward Village®, a 60-acre master planned community by The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), hosted a pop-up vaccination clinic for community members, residents and tenants throughout the Ward neighborhood.
“During this critical time, providing our broader community with access and the resources to prioritize their health, wellbeing and care remains our highest priority,” said Kaʻiulani Sodaro, Senior Vice President of Planning & Development at Ward Village. “The collaboration from our community partners throughout the state has made providing these critical health resources possible, and we’re grateful for their support.”
From 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., community members – and those visiting the weekly Kakaʻako Farmers Market – had the opportunity to receive COVID-19 vaccinations from skilled healthcare providers at Hawaiʻi Pacific Health’s mobile vaccine clinic.
“Our best defense against COVID-19 is the vaccine, and Hawai‘i Pacific Health is committed to expanding our reach into the community with mobile vaccine clinics like the one held today to make it as convenient as possible for people to get vaccinated,” said Terence Young, Vice President of Clinic Operations for Hawai‘i Pacific Health. “With our Straub Medical Center – Ward Village Clinic & Urgent Care location here, we have a special connection to the Kakaʻako neighborhood and are proud to continue to support the health and well-being of this community.”
Community members interested in receiving the vaccination will have another opportunity to visit Hawaiʻi Pacific Health’s mobile clinic at Ward Village on September 18, 2021, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Dedicated to community health, Ward Village and Hawaiʻi Pacific Health are members and partners – respectively – of the Hawaiʻi COVID Collaborative, a cross-sectoral group of Hawaiʻi’s leading organizations behind the statewide communications initiative COVID Pau. Designed to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Hawaiʻi, for over a year, COVID Pau has provided Hawaiʻi residents with tools, resources and knowledge to protect the community’s health and reopen the economy.

About Ward Village®
Ward Village is a 60-acre master-planned community by The Howard Hughes Corporation in the heart of Honolulu, located between downtown and Waikīkī. Honoring the distinct history of its land, Ward Village is at the forefront of sustainable community development – integrating striking architecture, culture and arts, and public open space. At full build-out, the community will include approximately one million square feet of unique retail and thousands of homes, in what Architectural Digest named “Best-Planned Community in the United States.”
As a result of strong demand for new housing in urban Honolulu, Ward Village is quickly approaching sellout of its first four mixed-use residential towers — Waiea®, Anaha®, Ae‘o®, and Ke Kilohana® — transforming the popular shopping and dining district into a thriving urban neighborhood that offers ocean views and open space, including its newest outdoor gathering place, Victoria Ward Park. New residential buildings in development or under construction include ʻA‘ali‘i, Kō‘ula, and Victoria Place. Since launching public sales in January 2020, Victoria Place has become the fastest-selling market tower in the history of Ward Village. Approved by the Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority (HCDA) in 2021, The Park Ward Village and Ulana Ward Village will be the newest mixed-use developments to join the neighborhood.
Ward Village is the first-ever LEED‐ND Platinum-certified master-planned community in the country, and the only in Hawai‘i. At the forefront of sustainable development, it features public amenities at a scale not offered by any other urban community in the state. For more information, visit www.wardvillage.com.
